Featured Product : Epionce® Renewal Lotion

The barrier of your skin is constantly attacked. Your epidermis, the outer most layer of skin, is thinner than a piece of paper. If a piece of paper is easily ripped, can you imagine what happens to your skin daily?

One of the ways to strengthen your skin is to rid itself of dead skin buildup. Removal of dead cells creates "energy" for the remaining cells to reproduce faster. However, the more you exfoliate the more sensitive you may become, leading to damaging the barrier of your skin.

Epionce® Renewal products are especially formulated to repair and strengthen your skin’s barrier. The renewal lotions can, and should, be used with any exfoliating products, including prescription products like Retin A.

Featured Ingredient : Potato Peptide

Potato Extract is the richest source of a peptide to regulate the synthesis of a key lipid for optimizing the skin’s barrier function.

Q&A : What causes my dark spots (hyperpigmentation)?

Melanocytes (pigment producing cells) are derived embryonically from neural crest cells that migrate into the basal layer (inner most layer) of the epidermis.

In the skin, melanocytes continuously produce melanosomes--organelles that are transferred to keratinocytes (epidermal protein producing cells).

The melanosomes convert tyrosine to melanin, a complex protein, giving skin its color. Melanin, the brownish black pigment serves as the skin’s protective screen. Under the stimulus of hormones or irritation, the production of melanosomes increases, leading to hyperpigmentation.
