Q:
Why do seasonal changes affect my skin?
A:
Even in Hawaii we may experience “Winter Skin”. Skin
is remarkably resilient to damage and change, but it
does become normalized to its environmental conditions.
We have found that although we do not have to adjust
to drastic climate changes, our clients encounter drier
skin in the winter months. Cooler temperatures and
less humidity may lead to drier skin that shows up
as fine lines and a dull complexion. Often a drier,
lagging, dehydrated complexion can be improved with
a hydrating skin treatment, a deeper exfoliating treatment,
or altering topical home care products.
