Services I Provide

Linda Manning

I have been a massage therapist since 1998. My massage style reflects a blending of Deep Tissue, Russian sports, myofacial release, and reflexology. I am also certified in Craniosacral, Spinal Touch, and Bowen. I enjoy working  with clients to achieve better posture and range of motion and love to see the transformation in a client’s posture after a massage. I am passionate about health and healing and am looking forward to helping you achieve your health goals.

I have worked briefly as a doula and am also trained in natural weight loss. I am currently completing a patisserie degree at KCC.  After suffering from gluten intolerance most of my life I would like to focus on gluten free baking.

I began working at Helen’s Haven in 2013. I am really excited to work at Helen’s because she has the best equipment. Besides my personal body cushion that enables a pregnant client to lay face down, Helen’s electronic tables incline to the perfect position for the ultimate comfort and safety of the pregnant client.  I also like working at Helen’s because she appreciates my unique and diverse background and Helen and the staff are professional and friendly.

I have studied several gentle bodywork styles inspired by Australian Tom Bowen. Bowen style therapy consists of gentle rolling movements across the muscle that trigger a healing response from within the body rather than physically altering the body. No oils or lotion are used and it can be performed through light clothing. The treatment may include gentle stretches. It is especially helpful for pregnancy, fibromyalgia, neck, back, knee, elbows, shoulder problems, respiratory complaints, asthma, tmj, digestive complaints, infertility and more. It is a gentle therapy that is appropriate for newborns to elderly and everyone in between.

Spinal touch is my personal preference when I need a massage. It restores the body’s center of balance by a unique muscle-relaxation technique. A plumb line analysis is used before and after the treatment. Improved posture is it’s aim which results in reduced pain and improved healing. Many clients have said it is more relaxing than a regular massage. Spinal Touch is mostly recommended to reduce the strain on neck and shoulders that is caused by forward head posture and is also the recommended treatment to reduce back pain. But it is also helpful for a wide range of ailments including M.S.

As a long time student of Aikido, a martial arts, I learned about the body’s energy. This attracted me to study Kinergetics, a form of kinesiology. Mainly I have been using it only for jaw problems and weight loss client’s positive affirmations, thought it can be used for a wide range of issues.
