How it works
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that provides deep exfoliation. It works by gently "sanding" or "buffing" away the outermost layer of dead, dull skin cells. There are two primary types of microdermabrasion:
Crystal microdermabrasion: This method uses a handheld device that sprays fine, abrasive crystals (such as aluminum oxide or sodium bicarbonate) onto the skin. The crystals, along with the exfoliated skin cells, are immediately suctioned away by a vacuum attached to the same device.
